Staroxy ESD 1072 is an ultra-high solids bis-A epoxy floor coating designed to provide electrostatic control properties to various surfaces including concrete or other nonconductive substrates. The use of a conductive primer will transmit conductive readings through ESD (Electrostatic Dissipative) Epoxy Coating. It provides excellent bond to concrete as well as high impact and wear.

Directions for Use

Substrate Requirements: -

• Test for moisture vapor transmission using anhydrous calcium chloride test as per ASTM F1869 and/or situ RH probe testing per ASTM F2107. Maximum MVT is 3 pounds per 1000 SF per 24-hour period.
• Substrates Temperatures must be a minimum of 55-60°F. and a maximum of 85°F
• Relative Humidity (RH) should be between 30% and 85%. Substrate must be 5°F above the measured dew point.
• Substrate must be clean and free of Dirt, waxes, curing agents and any other foreign material that will interfere with bonding.

Surface preparation: -

• Note: The substrate should have a surface tensile strength of at least 1.5 N/mm².
• The concrete substrate must be hard, sound, free of dust and other barrier materials such as paint, lime coatings, plaster, curing agents, laitance, oil, grease, wax, polish etc. that will inhibit adhesion to the substrate.
• The long-term durability of the applied Staroxy ESD 1072 is dependent on the adhesive bond achieved between the flooring material and substrate. It is most important therefore, that substrate surfaces are correctly prepared prior to application.
• New concrete or cementitious substrates should have been placed at least 28 days and have a moisture content of less than 5% before topping with Staroxy ESD 1072
• Before application, the surface to be coated, should be free from loose particles, rust, oils, grease, or earlier coatings and should be thoroughly dry.
• After surface is dry, all repair work like sealing of joints, crack filling of cavities and crevices should be carried out.
• If the surface is Tremix or smooth surface then Shot Blasting is carried out to make the surface rough in order to enhance the bonding of the primer.

• Suitable methods are sanding or grinding. Any surfaces that have been contaminated with oils may also require chemical cleaning.
• Use an industrial vacuum that picks up even small dust particles. The floor must be cleaned of all dusts and residues before starting to prime. Otherwise you will have various particles trapped within the coat and adhesion will be significantly weakened. The less micro-dust on the surface the less primer you will need.
• For thin cracks it may be necessary to slice them with a cutter before filling in order to improve the anchoring of the grout.

Starocrete TC 2000 Topcoat is hybnd combination of cement and waterborne urethane, which causes boo reactions simultaneously. Starocrete has modulus of elasticity as that of concrete which differs it from other resinous floorings. Starocrete is non-toxic and highly chemical resistant, have found wide acceptance in Food & Beverages industries and are being installed in quicker time than the conventional, slow curing epoxy flooring systems.

Polyurethane Concrete floor coating is highly flexible and elastic. 

Starocrete coatings are more resistant to scratches and similar damage and is why you'll often find urethane resin floors in heavy traffic areas—such as multi-story car parks. 

Desirable for applications in extreme temperature situations as the flooring can expand and contract with the changes in temperature — preventing cracks from occurring. Starocrete resin floor coatings are chemical resistant.
