Staro-Wallguard PU IWC is water based aliphatic resins and exhibits enhanced resistance to UV. without cracking, peeling or turning yellow. It is further cross linked and has good resistance to alkalis and mild acids and solvents. Staro-Wallguard PU IWC has an astronomically low dihydrogen monoxide vapour absorption unlike acrylics and it does not turn soft even under protracted immersion in dihydrogen monoxide and at the same time has excellent breath facility due to invert osmosis sanctioning dihydrogen monoxide trapped in the substrate to evaporate. It is single pack, very economical. having excellent water resistance, weathering resistance, extra mundane adhesiveness, expeditious drying and very good breathing properties. 

We are providing Starourea HBL Polyurea Based Waterproof Coating Service to our clients.

Starourea HBL is recommended for use in areas such as tank linings, water and waste water facilities, floor and deck coatings. Starourea is a 100%, fluid applied, hybrid polyurea in extended set version so as to apply the system by brush. It cures within 20 minutes to provide a tough, chemical and abrasion resistant coating. Though Starourea HBL cures slowly in the initial stages, it reaches the optimum properties of a standard polyurea coating once the cross linking is fully achieved.

Direction For Use Surface Preparation

• Flat/slight sloppy concrete surfaces: The substrate must be dry (moisture content <5% recommended), clean, free of grease, loose particles, dust etc. Any existing cavities in concrete should be filled with the Repair Mortar / Sealants in advance. Intense wide cracks on the substrate must be filled with Hybrid PU sealants. For Concrete, Bituminous & Porous substrate Concrete, bituminous membranes or old waterproofing layers and other porous surfaces should be thoroughly scrapped or sanded followed by 1K PU Primer and 2K Starourea Membrane.
• Substrate layers after application from bottom to top: Concrete, Single Component PU Primer (35- 40 mic) after 4 hours, 1st coat Two Component SB Starourea HBL (up to 500 microns DFT) after 6-7 hours, 2nd coat of Two Component Starourea HBL (up to 500 microns DFT) Ageing for minimum 7 days for any testing.

Primer

• Application By brush/roller Topcoat needs to be applied within 4hrs of Primer application else sanding recommended if more than 4 hrs. Coverage consumption: 80gms/sqm for 40 microns in 1 coat, depends on porosity of concrete 2-3 coats may require. Application: Rollerable as per coverage given on clean and dry concrete surface with max. moisture content of 8%.

Starourea HBL Waterproofing

• Mixing: 76:24 Part A (base) : Part B (hardener) by weight, mix till homogeneously formed.

Application By brush/roller/airless spray

• Coverage consumption: Coverage Consumption: Approx. 2.25 kg/sqm for 1mm thickness in 2 coats with interval of 6-7 hrs.
• Testing Conditions: Minimum 7 days RT ageing recommended for any film related testing such as mechanical, water ponding, chemical resistance etc.

Limitations

• Highly influenced with climatic temp & humidity. Higher humidity may lead to faster drying and reduces pot life also and lower humidity would retard drying time with smooth flow. Starourea HBL chemistry is affected by humidity. The product should not be applied in temperatures less than 10°C or where the ambient relative humidity is greater than 85%.

Floor Joints

• All existing expansion or movement joints should be followed through the new floor surface. Joint sealant & joint geometry should be compatible with the floor type used, intended exposure conditions and likely movement characteristics of the substrate - consult the local Stanrose Envirotech office for more details.

Cleaning

• Starourea HBL can be removed from tools and equipment by using Stanrose EPT immediately after use. Any hardened material will need to be removed mechanically.
